The long success story of Barbara & Hans Trummers Breitenau stud was bound mainly to one special mare in their breeding program. She has brought such excellent foals, who changed the fate of the stud over night.
NEVA was bought from Karl Heinz Ohliger. She was the main output of his famous breed and we were happy, that we could first lease and later buy such a mare. This was our good fortune. Because she brought one foal better than the other.
Her first class pedigree combined with her expressive type and her strong self confident character was unique. Her foals looked much better than the foals of other also good mares and so they started to win already the foal classes.
Her first foal VOLCHOV by Vatican was named German Champion foal.
Her second foal BALENINA was named Austrian Junior Champion as a foal and she has beaten at that time the unbeatable NIAGARA by Negresco, who was named Nations Cup Champion 2 weeks before and her stablemate NITOCHKA by Pepel (the internat. Championesse Wels).
If horses like BALENINA and NEVNITZA were born, one could see the quality from the first moment. They never had a bad time in their growing and always looked special and good.
What is the secret behind NEVAS pedigree?
There is one mare in her pedigree, who is also famous for her breeding potential and this mare has the same phenotype as NEVA. She was also a chestnut and has brought very beautiful foals. The mare NEPOSEDA (PPriboj x Nomenklatura) was that strong mare in the pedigree of NEVA. NEPOSEDA together with ASWAN has brought the famous beautiful mare NARIADNAIA (dam of NARIADNI, who was known for his beauty and breeding potential).
NEPOSEDA is the dam of NEGA, who is the dam of NEMAN. NEMAN was such a strong breeding horse, not only because of his sire line, but because of his damline too.
The fact, that many children and foals also from the next generations are still winning already as foals in the showring. The most important thing on NEVA is her breeding power, that means: if you have a mare with this blood, this mare is continuing breeding and breeding foals of special quality.
